The new Zero Fridge Freezer from ARB was unveiled at the SEMA Show last November, with its side-opening lid attracting attention. The Zero Fridge Freezer is available in two sizes: 69L and 96L, with the 96L model offering two lids to keep the fridge and freezer compartments separate. The 69L model has an internal freezer compartment separate from the fridge. It also comes with front and rear DC inlets to provide flexibility as to how it is installed, as well as a front AC inlet for when you remove it to keep it powered. It also has a USB outlet so you can charge your devices off the fridge, it features a control panel to regulate the temperature, and it can be monitored wirelessly via a Bluetooth connected app.

ARB Zero Fridge Freezer

Towards the end of last year, TJM released its new digital tyre deflator which, when we tested it out recently was found to be just about spot on in terms of accuracy. Possibly one of the best-value deflators on the market, it also comes with a valve core tool and four spare valve cores. Rooftop tents take a lot of the stress out of camping; you simply open up the tent rather than fiddling around with poles and bags and finding somewhere flat, etc.

Well known, Korean brand, iKamper has released its Skycamp Mini, a two-person version of its top-spec Skycamp rooftop tent. iKamper claims the Skycamp Mini has a 60-second set up time while having a hard-shell roof to protect it, and both stainless-steel straps and locks to give you peace of mind. The Skycamp Mini weighs only 57kg and measures 138cm wide and 145cm long.

Comfort while camping is important and it’s hard to go past a good quality chair. The new DCT33 chair from Darche offers a robust steel frame and highly durable poly fabric seating material. Created in a director-chair style it also features a folding side table with an integrated cup holder. It also comes with a side storage pocket and is rated at up to 145kg of static weight, while only weighing 5.2kg and having the ability to fold flat for easy storage.

Darche Chair DCT33

Following a mandatory recovery gear Standards update (all recovery kits need to carry more warnings and suggest the user should complete an accredited 4X4 course) last year (December 2019), Bushranger has released its updated range of recovery gear, including its Heavy-Duty Snatch Kit. Bushranger 4x4 claims all its straps are tested in NATA-accredited labs, as well as in real-world scenarios. The Heavy-Duty Snatch Kit is perfect for a weekend away, providing everything you need in a snatch recovery situation: a nine-metre snatch strap rated to 11,000kg, two 4.75T bow shackles, and a pair of gloves. The handy kit bag it comes in also has spare pockets for any other gear you might want to store in it.

Bushranger 4X4 Heavy-Duty Snatch Kit

This 250W Portable Solar setup from Safiery (via Drifta) with a Victron 20A Smart Solar controller claims it can be your 'total power solution'. The panel is said to operate at a high-panel voltage (63.2V) and can get the 'most' out of the sun even in cloudy conditions with a claimed 98 per cent efficiency. Paired with a Victron 20A Smart Solar controller which has multiple modes including ‘Expert Mode’ which, when chosen, can monitor the battery, and if a drop-in voltage is sensed it triggers fast-charging to replenish it.

Oztent has released its Malamoo 2-Hub Beach Shelter to ensure you don’t sizzle at the beach. Oztent reckon it’s easy to use with set up and pack down times of a few seconds only. Oztent says the Malamoo 2 Hub Beach Shelter has a large floor area, measuring 2m by 1.5m, which offers plenty of room for two people to stretch out. The material used offers UPF 50+ protection. The Malamoo should be easy to transport with a packed size of 120cm X 15cm X 15cm.

Oztent Malamoo 2-Hub Beach Shelter

Holden Colorado and Isuzu D-Max share the same fuel tank as well as plenty of other oily bits – they’re essentially twins under the skin. ARB has released a new Frontier replacement tank that increases the fuel capacity by 60 litres (up to a 140 litres). Frontier Tanks are designed to be as lightweight as possible while maintaining strength; ARB has done this by creating them from a durable Crosslink polymer material rather than steel. ARB is so confident in its tank; it offers a three-year warranty.
