BEN’S GU PATROL
For many 4WD enthusiasts, there isn’t a better platform to build-up a 4X4 off than a GU Patrol. And Ben’s Patrol is the perfect example. This 2013 GU started by getting an ARB Deluxe Bull Bar along with a Runva 11xp Premium Winch fitted inside to help pull him out of sticky situations. Ben had it fitted with a 3-inch lift with Superior remote reservoir shocks and Hybrid Superflex arms. The diffs have also been changed to run 4.6 as well as Marks4WD 85% reduction gears. However, the GU is still a capable tourer, with ORS aluminium drawers, a 60L water tank, as well as a travel buddy oven and 80W of solar on the roof. Ben has also fitted it with a Harrop E-locker to compliment the factory rear locker and a three-inch exhaust with manual boost control. The local for Ben’s awesome GU is around Yalwal, although Ben’s already got a trip to Fraser Island in March planned, we hope to see some more shots soon.

SEAN’S PRADO
Sean’s 120 Prado isn’t just another school runabout, it's a serious off-roader. Running a two-inch Ultimate suspension lift and a set of mud terrains, it’s got an Xrox winch bar and Southern Cross Fabworks rock sliders as well as Bushskinz bash plates. Sean is planning a storage system, roof rack, and lockers. The 120 Prado spends most of its time exploring NSW Blue Mountains, Barrington and also down at Yalwal. However, the next big trip for it will be to Tasmania where Sean hopes to view the Aurora Australis. We look forward to seeing some photos of the Aurora Australis, Sean; your Prado is one nice machine.
JASON’S 80 SERIES
Jason’s 1996 80 Series LandCruiser is out-of-the-ordinary to say the least. See, it’s been chopped. Look under the bonnet and there’s a 6.2L LS3 V8 and a six-speed automatic transmission. But it hasn’t stopped there, it’s also had a three-inch Superior engineering lift, which helps him fit 35s right around. It’s got E-lockers, chrome-moly axles in both the front and rear, as well as braced diffs front and rear. You’ll usually find Jason exploring Fraser Island, with plans to get up to Cape York and even a Victorian High Country trip on the cards. Your 80 Series is mega, Jason; hopefully we’ll see some pictures soon of a trip to Cape York or the Victorian High Country.
STUART’S GU PATROL
Stuart’s GU Patrol conquered Cape York earlier this year, and there are still plenty of day trips out and around his local area (Darwin). To be continually attacking Cape tracks you need a serious 4WD, and Stuart’s undoubtedly set one up. A three-inch lift with Fox Shocks, King Coils and PSR arms, along with 33-inch mud-terrains give the GU plenty of clearance. Stuart has also fitted it with Bolseys sliders and a factory bull bar to protect it, as well as a three-inch exhaust to give it some room to breathe. To keep the turbo cool, he’s fitted an upgraded intercooler and Tillix kit, along with boost, voltmeter, and EGT gauges in the cabin. This GU is already a seriously impressive truck, and Stuart has plenty of plans for it in the future, too, including an upgraded turbo and dual-wheel carrier. What a great 4X4 Stuart.
