JAMIE’S GQ
Jamie’s excellent 1989 GQ Patrol is nicknamed BamBaLam … With a name like that, it’s not surprising to see it roll up with a three-inch lift on 35s. It has the usual suspects of bull bar, spotlights, and even a winch, although we’re not sure how often he’d need it. Jamie has set it up to conquer the worst the tracks have to offer, even welding the front diff, but it’s also a capable tourer with dual batteries and a nice drawer set up in the back. Jamie tells us he and BamBaLam rule over the tracks in the Glasshouse Mountains, and says he’s planning a trip to the Cape. Thanks for sharing your rig with us, Jamie, we can’t wait to see the pics when you take it to the Cape.

CHRISTOPHER AND KRISTIE’S LANDCRUISER
Christopher and Kristie’s 105 series LandCruiser has seen quite a lot of our big brown land. So the duo can go a long way between drinks they’ve fitted a Brown and Davis long-range tank as well as a two-inch adjustable lift. To ensure they’ve got good grip when they leave the bitumen, they’ve fitted a set of 33-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tyres. A Safari snorkel, winch bar and winch finish it off. With plenty of destinations still to tick off, check out some of their great adventures on their Instagram: @landcrab_adventures.

SCOTT’S HILUX
Scott’s 2003 HiLux looks great and with its reliable 3.0L turbo-diesel (no DPF), this is truly one of the ‘unbreakable’ ones. So far, the HiLux has had the following done to it: a lift, 33-inch tyres, a bull bar complete with winch, and a snorkel. Scott told us he plans to have front and rear lockers fitted soon to improve traction when the going gets properly tough. He’s taken his rig to the Victorian High Country and has plans in progress to take on Cape York. We think the HiLux is great Scott and we hope to see it beating more tracks soon.

LUKE’S HILUX
Luke has had his N80 HiLux since new and loves the fact it’s one of the rare V6 petrol variants … fun fact, the V6 petrol HiLux accounted for just one percent of sales. Having it from new means he’s had plenty of time to fiddle around with it. Upfront he has an ARB bar and side rails with a Warn 9.5 XP winch tucked inside in case he gets into trouble. Scott’s fitted a UniChip and to keep the engine from swallowing water when it goes for a swim a snorkel’s been fitted. He’s done a few Fraser trips in the HiLux, as well as recently visiting the Big Red Bash to see Midnight Oil. Your HiLux is looking great Luke, and it’s great to see something that’s not just a turbo-diesel hitting the tracks.
