The team at Ultra Vision Lighting have released their newest, and what they are claiming to be their brightest lights, the NITRO 180 Maxx LED Driving Light. Fitted with clever Cree LEDs as well as control optics, the advancement of technology is noticeable with a huge claimed performance of 1 lux up to 1800 metres! Built in Australia for the toughest conditions, the NITRO 180 Maxx has IP68 rating and can weather temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C. Available with either 4000k or 5700k colour temperature, as well as a high/low mode for when you don’t need all the light. Covered by a five-year warranty, it’s really hard to argue with these lights on paper. We can’t wait to get our hands on a set and see just how bright they are.

RRP: $849 - $909 each

The ARB Classic Fridge/Freezer has undergone surgery to give us the Series II, and while it’s now sporting a sharp new colour scheme, the redesign isn’t purely cosmetic. One of the big new features for the fridge is connectivity with mobile devices through Bluetooth, both the ARB’s LINX, and also a new app – the ARB Fridge Freezer App. The app allows you to adjust and monitor the temperature while also providing a warning if you’ve accidently left the fridge open. With a backlit dimmable LED panel, when you’re not using the app the Classic Fridge Freezer’s control panel is straight-forward to use with the buttons illuminating to the touch, making for easy night-time adjustments. With a durable Secop compressor and an integrated three-stage battery protection system, the ARB Classic Fridge Freezer Series II is a really nice upgrade to an already proven fridge/freezer.

Pricing starts at $1099 for the 35L

The second row of seats in your 4X4 is mostly used for people, normally kids, but what can you do with that space if you don’t have kids? The team at Fourby Fitouts have a solution: their Mid Units. The Mid Units utilise the space where the second row of seats would normally be located, and are clever because they can also be easily removed and seats put back in if the need arises. Mid Units at the moment are only available for a select number of vehicle makes, and you must have a cargo barrier already fitted as it is one of the mounting points.

Getting your 4X4’s suspension to sit right either loaded or unloaded isn’t easy and the team at Tough Dog has recognised this. Tough Dog has released their Bellows Air Assist Airbags for leaf-sprung 4X4s and Coil Insert Airbags for 4X4s with coils in the rear. Both variants of the airbags are built to eliminate sway and body roll from your 4WD as well as level out and control the rear ride height of your vehicle. The Bellows Airbags have a capacity between 5-100psi while the Coil Insert has a capacity of 5-60psi. Both styles of airbags have Tough Dog’s three-year unlimited kilometre warranty, so if you’re looking to sort out your 4X4’s ride or carry varying loads, check them out.

Narva have taken another step forward in lighting. Now offering two new models in its Explora LED light bar range, a 22-inch single-row bar and 22-inch double-row model. The single-row 22-inch bar has 18 5W high-powered LEDs, which Narva claim produce 3589 lumens and 1 lux of light at 345 metres. The double-row model is for those who can’t get enough light, with 36 5W LEDs that have a claimed production of 6217 lumens and 1 lux of brightness at 460 metres. Narva says that all Explora models are built to survive Australian conditions from -30°C to 65°C. They have also been built to IP68 and IP69K standards against both dust and water. For that extra peace of mind, the Narva Explora LED light bar range is also covered by a five-year LED warranty so you won’t be left in the dark.

Redarc RedVision is the next step forward in managing your increasingly complicated vehicle’s functions and devices. RedVision makes it possible to monitor and control devices such as inverters, water pumps, air compressors, lights as well as fridges from the palm of your hand. It also allows you to keep an eye on water levels, temperature and battery charge. This is all enabled by Redarc’s new RedVision User App, as well as the RedVision Configurator App. These apps mean that you can monitor and control your car or van’s devices from your hand thanks to a Bluetooth connection. This update to Redarc’s RedVision means it can now monitor up to six water tanks, so it can now be used in larger off-road caravans. It’s no wonder Redarc won a Good Design Award for this product when you consider how much technology is crammed into it!

Spending money on accessories and gear to make your 4X4 the best it can be is part of the lifestyle, but it can also make it stand out to those who are looking for a new ride, which is why iDrive have brought out their LiveTrack GPS Tracker. The LiveTrack GPS Tracker is a simple, small device that just needs power provided to it and a sim card set-up to provide you with peace of mind when parking and leaving your 4WD out and about. Like most products, the tracker comes with an app that you use, their free iCar app, to see where the tracker is located and also its location history. For added comfort you can also set a virtual boundary where you will get notified if the tracker leaves that area. iDrive have also fitted a parking monitor where the tracker will send you a notification as soon as it feels your 4X4 start to move. At under $300 it’s solid value for money considering how much you’ll save compared to losing your pride and joy.

When camping, the last thing you want is for your nice warm tent or swag to have a hole in it letting out all your warmth, or letting in plenty of water. However, some people much smarter than us have created a clever solution called Tenacious Tape. The team behind it, Gear Aid, claims that it will work perfectly on tricky fabrics such as nylon and vinyl, which will help keep your camping trip from being a bust! Best of all, it’s quite reasonably priced coming in at under $20 a roll, so could definitely end up in an emergency bag in the back of your 4X4.
